Macy's and Bluemercury Holiday Hiring Day Oct. 22: Seasonal Retail Jobs Across Dallas

DALLAS, TX — Macy's, Inc. is holding a nationwide holiday hiring day on Thursday, October 22, and Dallas gets a bigger slice of it than most cities. Macy's stores from NorthPark Center to Town East will be taking walk-in applicants for seasonal part-time jobs, and the company named Dallas one of its top hiring markets for Bluemercury, its beauty and skincare chain with a shop in Highland Park Village.

No registration, no ticket. Apply online first, walk in on the 22nd, and if that Thursday doesn't work, there's one more hiring day on November 19.

What Macy's Announced, and What It Didn't

In its September 24 holiday hiring announcement, Macy's, Inc. said it is filling seasonal positions at Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury stores, with in-store hiring events on three Thursdays: September 24, October 22 and November 19. Times vary by location.

Here's the Dallas detail. The company listed Dallas among its markets with greater hiring opportunities for Bluemercury. For Macy's stores, the only Texas market on that list is Houston, so Dallas Macy's stores are hiring as part of the nationwide push rather than as a named hot spot. Macy's has not published a headcount for Dallas or a national total. Treat October 22 as an open door at your local store, not a promise of a set number of jobs.

💄 Bluemercury in Highland Park Village

Bluemercury is the reason Dallas made Macy's top-markets list. Its Dallas shop sits at 83 Highland Park Village, Dallas, TX 75205, at Preston Road and Mockingbird Lane. Up in Denton County, Bluemercury also lists a store at The Shops at Highland Village, 1400 Shoal Creek, Ste. 170, in Highland Village. Applications go through bluemercuryJOBS, and the hiring day applies to Bluemercury stores too.

💵 What It Pays and What Comes With It

Macy's says every job posting shows its pay range, so you see the number before you apply. The company lists colleague discounts, 401(k) savings, access to earned wages before payday and an employee assistance program among its benefits, with medical, dental and vision coverage available based on eligibility.
